Adding a user to several groups / assigning images to groups

Is it possible to assign a user to several groups?

It is possible to assign images to groups?

We want to manage our R&D image data with PACSOne. For this, we want to add each developer to several groups (=projects). Depending on his group, a developer should be able to query only relevant cases. Therefore, permissions to access should depend on the group membership of the user (this would be an extension of the private/public concept I guess)

Yes, we are adding a new feature which allows for multiple group membership to the next release (6.1.3) of PacsOne Server, where a user can belong to more than one usergroup (currently only 1 usergroup membership is allowed).

Thanks for the quick answer!

Will it also be possible to assign several groups to patients or studies so that access permissions depend on the group membership of the user? Right now it is only possible to assign one group to image by storing the Group_Description in the institution tag.

Thanks!

Other than the current exact-match method, how do you propose to match the value within the Institution Name with multiple groups? e.g., wild-card patterns?

Even a simpler approach seems to be sufficient: A user_group can view a private case of the Group_Description is an exact substring of the string stored in the institution tag. I don't think that more complex patterns are needed. Ideally one would also like to modify the institution tags of a set of unread cases (-> assign images to user_groups), but we can also do this with a tool before we import the data.

Sounds like a nice feature, we'll add it to a future release of PacsOne Server.

Is there already a release date for 6.1.3?

Best regards!
