We are a company providing ICT solutions in radiology including Teleradiology.
We are planning to use Pacsone for teleradiology together with an appropriate viewer.
We are considering putting up a demo link on our site to point to some anonymized sample studies where existing and potential clients (or even our team during demonstration) can log in and access these studies with appropriate credentials. I can coerce the attributes of these studies appropriately if necessary so they are distinct from the rest.
All our clients have PACS or a kind of mini-PACS at the performing site for long term storage of studies. Studies will be forwarded to our cloud server for remote reporting and such studies will be kept for about 3 months before deleting older ones.
I would like the demo studies to be exempted from these deletion rules so they stay on the server indefinitely.
Can this be added to PacsOne? My purging is based on storage capacity with watermarks.
I see this can be done indirectly by not including source AET in purging rules but I think would best if it were also possible to explicitly lock a study individually or as a group e.g source AET.
Regards,
Emmanuel.
Lock Study for Deletion
Re: Lock Study for Deletion
I am curious: Has this feature been implemented yet?

Re: Lock Study for Deletion
Sorry, this feature has not been given high priority so it's still sitting on our To-do list because there are some remaining questions to be clarified:
1. Does the "Lock" only apply to the automatic purging rules but not manual deletion? i.e., once a study is locked, it will not be deleted by any automatic purging rule, but a privileges web user with the Modify privilege can still manually delete it from the study list pages, e.g., Home, Unread Studies, etc. This is necessary to prevent a study from becoming immortal?
2. What about the user interface (UI) for locking/unlocking the studies? e.g., would adding a <Lock> and <Unlock> buttons to the study list pages be sufficient for this feature?

Re: Lock Study for Deletion
1. Yes a privileged user may delete the study manually.
2. A lock and unlock button is adequate for my needs.
Thanks.
