Sample database entries

Post by Guest » Mon May 30, 2005 6:32 am

Our company is currently testing PacsOne Server but due to lack of resources, we don't have Machines (MRI, CT, etc. ) that can send DICOM images to our PacsOne server. Since the PacsOne server doesn't come with sample database entries, we were unable to test how PacsOne really works and performs.

Is there a way to insert sample data in the MySQL database of PacsOne?

Thanks!

There're many free/open-source Dicom tools, as well as sample Dicom images, that you can use to send images to PacsOne. Here's a URL link to popular Dicom resources:

We use the toolkits from CTN and DCMTK as well to test Dicom connectivity with PacsOne Server.

Here is a link from David Clunies site with about 20 urls to downloadable DICOM samples:

I don't know if they are all still available.

sample entries in pacsone database

You might want to try K-PACS, which contains both a pacs as well as a client viewer and import/export utilities. With K-PACS you can import some sample images, and transfer those to the pacsone server.

I was in a similar situation, needing to evaluate pacsone server by populating the database, and so far I have found K-PACS useful as an experimental datapump. I will probably need something else to do bulk transfers, once the initial experiment yields positive results
Hope this helps

You can also import raw images directly from PacsOne Server, if the images are encoded using the standard Dicom Part 10 format.

Thanks!
