As a Radiotherapeutic Institute Dicom-RT support (Dicom with structure information especcially for Radiotherapy) would be very helpful.

Thanks.

It'd be helpful if you could post some URL links to any sample RT images that can be downloaded off the web.

All I know for so far is that DICOM-RT is DICOM format CT-images with some extra files attached with the RT-data. Unfortunately I don't know the what the data in it looks like and how it is formatted (yet).

I found the following SOP UID's and SOP Classes:

1.2.840.10008.5.1.4.1.1.481.1 RT Image Storage
1.2.840.10008.5.1.4.1.1.481.2 RT Dose Storage
1.2.840.10008.5.1.4.1.1.481.3 RT Structure Set Storage
1.2.840.10008.5.1.4.1.1.481.4 RT Plan Storage
1.2.840.10008.5.1.4.1.1.481.5 RT Beams Treatment Record Storage
1.2.840.10008.5.1.4.1.1.481.6 RT Brachy Treatment Record Storage
1.2.840.10008.5.1.4.1.1.481.7 RT Treatment Summary Record Storage

Hope this helps...

I think this document is what you are looking for. It contains all the information about the whole DICOM protocol.

http://medical.nema.org/dicom/2003/03_03PU.PDF

This is Part 3 of the DICOM standard (part 1-16 can be found here as well). DICOM-RT is on the pages 121 up to and including 126. (The references like C.7.1.1 are on pages in the annex)

NEMA stands for the National Electrical Manufacturers Association and is the official maintainer of the DICOM standard. Visit http://medical.nema.org for the DICOM website.

I have the DICOM specs but I need sample RT images to test the implementation.

Thanks for the URL links.
