Hello,

When techs send the studies, some of the studies have NO Patient name info. Blank, the tech says they typed and send all the info. but the Patient Name is blank. Also, how can I re assign a study, for instance if I assign study to Reading Physician as Dr1 then I want that study to be reassigned to Dr2, but Dr1 should not see it anymore. How can this be done, once I reassign to Dr2, the Dr1 is still able to see the study.

Please help.

Thanks in advance

1. You can verify if the Patient Name was encoded in the received Dicom images as claimed by the tech, by clicking on the URL link underneath any of the thumbnail image displayed for that study, which will display a list of all data elements contained within that image. From that page, you can check if the Patient Name (0010,0010) is shown and if it has an empty value or not.

2. Exactly how did you assign the study to Dr 1 and Dr 2?

Hello admin,

Thanks for your reply.

I did check the Patient's name is in the DICOM data which is (0010,0010) field, strange thing is from same tech, some of the patient names are showing up on the studies HOME/Unread studies and some patient names are missing. How can i fix this?

2. To assign studies to DR1. I just click on the Reading Physician Link and Assign from the drop down. To Reassign, I click on the physician name that was already assigned earlier DR1, then on next page I select the DR2 from the list. When I see the study (home screen) I do see Dr2 assigned, but when I log in as Dr1 on system, the Dr1 still able to see the study that was reassigned to dr2

thanks again..

1. Can you find ONE Dicom study with the Patient Name information missing, then navigate to the Image Thumbnails page and click on the URL link underneath any of the thumbnails, and check if the Patient Name tag (0010,0010) shows up in the resulting page?

2. Assuming this study is still a Private study, did you check if the names of this Dr2 matches with either the Referring Physician's Name or the Reading Physician's Name of this study?

1. I did verify it is there in the thumbmail info.,that's where I confimed before in my reply too. But it for some reason does not show up on the main page. The 0010,0010 does have the name in there.

2. No Dr1 or Dr2 is not in the Reading phy or Ref phy list as I assing that. The only reason, I want the Dr1 not to view is becaus if I accidentaly assign the wrong dr then I want to be able to move the study out from dr1 and assign to dr2

1. Can you click on the checkbox in front of the thumbnail image which you found no Patient Name was displayed but with the (0010,0010) tag present, then click on the <Download> button to download it into a zip file, and then send it to: mailto:pacsone@pacsone.net?

2. Exactly how did you assign the Dicom study to Dr1/Dr2?
