Topogram from CT Scanner showing 3 Times in PacsOne
Post

Since beginning sending to PacsOne from one of our Philips CT Scanners, our topograms are showing up 3 times in PacsOne. I have an example patient that I could send you. Can you think of any reason this would occur? The 3 instances of the topogram have the same study UID, the same series UID, but different image UID's and different SOP instance UID's. Any thoughts?

Do you mean they showed up as 3 different studies, series or instances? If they have 3 different SOP Instance UIDs, then they should be stored as 3 different instances since PacsOne uses the SOP Instance UID as the key to the IMAGE table.

Do you see the same Instance Number from the Image Thumbnails page? If so, can you click on the URL link displayed underneath each of those 3 thumbnail images, which will display a list of all data elements contained within that image. Then you can check the SOP Instance UID (0008,0018) tag for each of those 3 images to see if they are the same. That UID is also displayed as part of the URL for that HTML page, e.g., uid=1.2.840.113674.950809132337081.100, etc.

All 3 SOP Instance UID's are different. Why would they show up separately in PacsOne?

Then they are 3 different images. Why do you think they are the same image? As far as PacsOne Server is concerned, the images are different if they contain a different SOP Instance UID.

The images look precisely the same. The modality only sent 1 topogram, but 3 are showing in the router.

You should not assume the images are the same by the looks, because they can be snapshot images of very short time lapse which don't differ that much. As far as PacsOne Server is concerned they are 3 different images because each has a unique SOP Instance UID, and you should be able to find the same 3 images on the source device that sent those images to PacsOne Server.
