Importing .dcm files
I had successfully installed pacsone on Windows 2000 PC. I am trying to import some DICOM images from a folder C:/Program Files/PacsOne/cd/
into PacsOne server.
I am getting this error -
Wwarning - DICOM directory record file - C:/Program Files/PacsOne/cd/DICOMDIR doesn't exist.
When I create this directory and then try importing the folder of images, I get this error -
Warning: fopen(C:/Program Files/PacsOne/cd/DICOMDIR) [function.fopen]: failed to open stream: Permission denied in C:\Program Files\PacsOne\php\importStudy.php on line 49
Warning: fread(): supplied argument is not a valid stream resource in C:\Program Files\PacsOne\php\importStudy.php on line 50
Invalid DICOMDIR file: C:/Program Files/PacsOne/cd/DICOMDIR.[/img]
into PacsOne server.

best viewer???
Which is the best DICOM viewer that goes along with PacsOne? Can you guide me with the installation process.
Thanks
Thanks
Re: Importing .dcm files
DICOMDIR is a Dicom directory information file, it is however not a directory. The Warning message above about the missing DICOMDIR is Ok since PacsOne will still go ahead and import all the raw Dicom image files without the DICOMDIR directory information.moreno wrote:

If you create a directory named DICOMDIR in the Import source direcrtory, you will actually get an error from PacsOne as it tries to read the DICOMDIR as a file but it's a directory instead.
PacsOne works with at least 3 applet viewers which can be downloaded/URL linked from our website:
http://www.pacsone.net/download.htm
The open-source applet viewer is free with modified source codes included. For more commercial environment, you can use either the NeoLogica RemotEye or the Radscaper applet viewer.
PacsOne also works with any standalone Dicom viewer programs such as eFilm or RadWorks, but most of them is not free and varies in terms of feature sets and costs, so it would be up to you to decide which viewer suits your requirements the best.

Importing hiccups
I am facing a similar problem. I have downloaded DICOM images from
https://217.91.57.135/pacsone/browse.php into a folder and then tried importing this into PacsOne server.
It showed up errors. But I continued as you had suggested. However, it is taking inordinately long time and nothing has been loaded even after 24 hours.
I need to demonstrate to the team of administrators URGENTLY and I just don't know how to import images in time. Only after this will I be allowed to connect to the hospital network. To compund things, the PC that I am working on doesn't have CD-ROM drive .
Please guide me.

Re: Importing hiccups
What are the errors you got for the Import? You can check the Job Status for the Import job or the PacsOne Server log file for the errors.Tianlong wrote: It showed up errors. I am getting this error -
Wwarning - DICOM directory record file - C:/Program Files/PacsOne/cd/DICOMDIR doesn't exist.
I started off saying similar problem. Never mind. Can you guide me how to get this IMPORT feature working. It is more than two days since the jobs have been queued. Even now there are no studies loaded.
As I wrote, I downloaded .dcm images from another pacsone server.
How can I load atleast one image in the server so that I can demonstrate the PacsOne's abilities tomorrow.

This is a Warning message, but not an error.Tianlong wrote:I am getting this error -

From your description of the problem, i.e., the Job never was processed by PacsOne Server, it sounds like a license problem. Check your Windows Event log (or Linux syslog file /var/log/messages) to see if there is any trial license expiration errors from PacsOne. If so, you can send your trial license (license.dat under the directory where PacsOne is installed) along with the output of ipconfig /all command run from a shell in an email to: mailto:pacsone@pacsone.net, so that we can take a look and see whether or when it has expired.
I have installed pacsone just two weeks back. I am not seeing any license error.
However, some more warning messages in pacsone server log -
Warning: fopen(C:/Program Files/PacsOne/log/pacsone/PacsOne-Friday.log) [function.fopen]: failed to open stream: No such file or directory in C:\Program Files\PacsOne\php\logfile.php on line 31
Warning: feof(): supplied argument is not a valid stream resource in C:\Program Files\PacsOne\php\logfile.php on line 33
Warning: fread(): supplied argument is not a valid stream resource in C:\Program Files\PacsOne\php\logfile.php on line 34
I am not sure whether this has got anything to do with importing files. But the denominator is server is just not importing any files even after four days of submitting the job. JOb status says submitted jobs, but there is no other sign of starting of activity. I keep seeing this message
"There are 0 accessible patients in PACS database."

It sounds more and more like a license problem.
You can check if you have both PacsOne.exe and PacsOneSrv.exe running from the Windows Task Manager (CTL-ALT-DLT then Task Manager->Process List). If not, there is something wrong with your trial license and you can send it to mailto:pacsone@pacsone.net so that we can check it out.

PacsOneSrv.exe is running.
PacsOne.exe isn't running.
I din't find any license.dat file in pacsone directory. I have mailed to ipconfig details to pacsone@pacsone.net
Please do the needful.
Thanks

That would explain why PacsOne never picked up your submitted jobs since your license file was missing.Tianlong wrote:PacsOneSrv.exe is running.

I've created a new trial license and sent it to you, which should take care of your license problem here.
