problems with license.dat??

Post by jdiazkropman » Tue May 05, 2009 1:27 am

Hello,
I've been trying to connect a few modalities to my PACSONE and I wasn't able to, so I decided to try with OsiriX, and the same result. I added the AETitle, Port, and IP on both sides. When I c-Echo from PacsOne to OsiriX everything goes fine, but from OsiriX to PacsOne gives me an error that the peer refuses the association or something like that.

I've been reading this forum and everything indicates something might be wrong with license.dat. Is there anything else that could be causing this problem? My platform is Linux Ubuntu and I'm running PacsOne Premium which I've downloaded and installed a week ago. Can I do anything for my license.dat. I checked running processes and of course I don't have *.exe (I'm on Ubuntu ;-) but I couldn't find any process whose name was pacsone or similar. What should I look for?

Your comments will be highly appreciated!
Thank you,

JOrge

For Linux platforms, you can run the following command from a local command shell on the server where PacsOne is installed, to find out if PacsOne is actually running or not:

Code: Select all

# ps -ef|grep PacsOne
The results returned should include both the PacsOne.exe and PacsOneSrv.exe processes. Otherwise, PacsOne Server is not really running and you should check if your license file (license.dat) is missing from the directory where PacsOne is installed.

If the PacsOne Server license file (license.dat) is present, but PacsOne Server was not running, then your license is either expired or does not match with the host configurations of your server. If this is the case, you can send the PacsOne Server license (license.dat) along with the output text of the following command to mailto:pacsone@pacsone.net:

Code: Select all

$ uname -a;/sbin/ifconfig
So that we can check it out and see if it's valid and/or if it has expired.

Thank you pacsone!

Now this confirms that I have an issue with that file because ps -ef doesn't give me any PacsOne.exe process running, although I do have a license.dat file in /home/pacsone (the installation directory).

However, while I'm preparing the email and text file to send you by email, I noticed you also asked me for the output of ifconfig. I don;t think the license.dat file expired since I downloaded everything a week ago, but I did change the IP on the server since I installed it. Does that affect the license.dat file as "it thinks the host changed"?

I'm running this pacsone test version on a virtual machine in my laptop, and I have to change the IP as I go to the different offices we have in order to test it with different modalities because in the office where I work from we have no medical equipment. If license.dat is tie with the host IP I'm in deep problems.....well, or I have to build 4 virtual machines and install PacsOne in each one of those 4 virtual servers to test all the offices we have (we have different equipment in each office, so I need to make sure they all can "talk" to pacsone, send images and receive MWL).

I'll send you the files in a second.

Thank you,

Jorge

The IP addresses are not tied to the PacsOne Server licenses at all, so you can feel free to change them at any time.

Thank you!

I sent you the files by email. I'm also installing a new Virtual Machine with Ubuntu and a fresh copy of PacsOne just in case I was using an old VM where I tried PacsOne before (I recall trying PacsOne a few months ago before our PACS project was placed on hold). Just in case I'm trying with a fresh install of Linux that I'll keep handy anyway.

Thanks!
