just to add here..

i have confirmed multiple times the AE information present on both pacsone server and acuson. I can ping ultrasound from pacsone and vice versa.

The port that i put in during pacsone install is different from what is set up for AE. I cant ping if i use same port # . the echo machine has only one port available for security reasons.

The Dicom Query/Retrieve Service SOP classes (UID 1.2.840.10008.5.1.4.1.2.*.*) are not found in this Dicom Conformance Statement, so this device does not support the Dicom Q/R services (not even as a SCU/client).

This means PacsOne can connect to the acuson device, but acuson has rejected the Dicom association request sent from PacsOne Server, most likely because the modified AE title you configured for the acuson devicde in the Application Entity table of PacsOne Server does not match with the configuration in the acuson device.

I have checked multiple times the AE setup is correct.

I have noticed a few things.

while installing pacsone server...i had to give it AE name. This name is for the pacsone ..correct? In other words, this is different from the AE i gave the acuson?

I noticed on acuson, there is separate setup for dicom storage server, i put in pacsone information in there. can i do that. acuson is looking for alias, ae and ip. there is no way to give pacsone server a alias?
i put in pacsone as alias ..as acuson wouldnt let me save the changes without putting all info.

I was able to ping from acuson storage setup but couldnt echo ...sometimes i get local dicom presets incorrect ..other times, i get couldnt communicate error.

i can ping and echo gfrom pacsone server.

The AE Title you configured for PacsOne Server in acuson needs to match with whatever AE Title you assigned to PacsOne Server during installation. Otherwise, you would need to read the acuson manual about how to change the AE Title of a configured AE, or the acuson device may reject the Dicom association requests sent from PacsOne Server due to the AE Title mismatch.

yes..that has been setup correctly. i gave "pacsoneae" for pacsone server and put that in acuson . i gave "acusonae" for acuson and is set up as such in pacsone

Then you should check the user's manual/technical support of this acuson device, and see why it was rejecting the Dicom association request sent from PacsOne Server.

users manual has nothing mentioned about Dicom config.

I will have to check with their tech support.

thanks for all your help

after talking to siemens tech support, this is what i have now.

They said cv70 acts as SCU not SCP so i would have to initiate transfer from the machine into pacs.

it also has a commit storage feature. which i have not activated.

i can ping and echo from pacsone .can only ping from acuson cv70 . echo from cv70 gives "cant communicate" error.

i have confirmed port numbers and AEs on both cv70 and pacsone.

what elso could be wrong?

If this is the case, then it means this Siemens device can only perform the Dicom Query/Retrieve to PacsOne Server, but not the other way around as it does not support the Dicom Q/R as a SCP.

I am not worried about being able to query/retrieve from pacsone. I dont mind if i have to send images from the ultrasound. i just need a working PACS.
