E-mail Notifications when received studies from AE Title

Post by federicobadano » Wed Feb 29, 2012 4:47 pm

How can i do to receive email notifications when study arrives to pacsone?
I am a user, not the referring Dr., but i want to receive email notifications to forward the studies to the doctors.
I create a new user, put Yes in the ¨email notifications when studies arrived with user name as referring dr¨ and put YES in the Dicom AE Title to enable email notifications, but nothing happens.
How can i do it? Is it possible?
I´m using 6.3.2 version.
Thanks a lot

In order to receive email notifications about the newly received Dicom study, you need to configure the following:

1. Define a valid SMTP server from the Email menu when logged-in as the Administrator.

2. Define a web user with the email address where the notification emails should be sent to, and the First and Last names of this web user must match with the Referring Physician's Name of the newly received Dicom study.

3. In the Dicom AE configurations for the Source AE from which the Dicom study is received, you need to enable the Send Email Notifications to Users Registered as the Referring Physician When New Study From this AE is received option, in order for the notification emails to be sent if the Referring Physician's Name matches with the Last/First names of the registered web user above.

Yes, if you assign a Source AE to a particular username, then PacsOne Server will send email notifications to the email address of that registered username when a new Dicom study is received from that Source AE.

I already do that, but doesn´t work.
When i create a new user name, for example FEDERICO, put my email, for example federico@gmail.com and i select the AE title and institution name to facility that i want to receive notifications in USER FILTERS ACCESS, but it doesn´t work.
Maybe i am doing something wrong.
Thanks!

User filters have nothing to do with email notifications, so not sure why you'd configure the filters.

If you want to have email notifications sent to this FEDERICO username when a Dicom study is received from a source AE, e.g., let's say its AE Title is SourceAE, then you can click on the Edit URL link displayed for this AE from the Dicom AE page, and scroll down to the following setting for this AE:

Assign Dicom Studies Received From This AE To Web Users

You can change the default "Disabled" radio button to the Assign to the following web users radio button instead, and click on the checkbox in front of the FEDERICO username.

I already set this like you said, but nothing happens.
Maybe it is because i have 2 AE Titles with the same name.
Because of pacsone not support two ae titles with the same name y re-name one with the 0 before the title.
I receive images from this ae title without problem but maybe because of that i can´t receive email notifications....i don´t know
Thanks

To test the email function, you can login as this username that you want to receive email notifications, then click on Tools->Statistics Report and run any report, e.g., Studies Received Today/This Week, etc, then click on the Email Report to Me button from the results page, and see if you can receive the report email.

If not, then the resulting page will tell you exactly what error it runs into when trying to send that report email via the SMTP server you defined.
