PacsOne rejecting connections

Post by Guest » Wed Jan 04, 2006 8:21 pm

I have a little problem with a trial edition of PacsOne running on a Windows machine. Installation went smooth, MySQL, Apache and PHP running without a problem. I can access PacsOne via the web-interface, everything seems to be working. Database is emtpy so far, no images stored.

I've added two workstations in the "Application Entities" menu (eFilm 1.5.3 on Windows 2k and OsiriX 2.1 on MacOS 10.4.2). When I click on "ping" to verify the connection both C-Echos commands are successful. I've also added PacsOne to both eFilm and OsiriX and none of them can send anything to PacsOne or do a query. When I try to verify PacsOne in OsiriX the connection fails, which means PacsOne is rejecting the connection.

I've checked the applentity-table in my database and both workstations are listed as they should be.

The PacsOne settings in the Windows registry are also correct (I'm using non standard port 4445).

I've spotted two things so far that worry me.

1. There's no logfile written by PacsOne, the only "log" I get is the Journal Log via browser which shows me that the workstations have been added to AE.

The "log" directory in the pacsone folder (same as listed in registry) is empty, except for the file "dbinstall" and the two folders "journal" and "report" which are both empty.

2. While pacsonesrv.exe is running when I check the Windows task manager, pacsone.exe is not running. When I try to start it via command-line, I can see it pop up in the task-manager but it's shutting down again right away.

Is that the reason that PacsOne is rejecting all connections? Why is the webinterface working then and why can it do a C-Echo on the workstations then?

Is there any reason why pacsone.exe should not run?
Installation was done last night, so the trial should still work. I'm going to install it now on one different Windows machine to see if it works there.

Seems like a license issue. Was the installed version perhaps older than 45 days (the trial license time)? You should contact the the admin of the forum, so they can provide you a new (trial) license.

I've downloaded the version last night from the website. The license.dat file is dated january 4th 2006. So this should actually work, but it doesn't...

I'll contact the admin now, since I've ran out of ideas. I've installed PacsOne on another Windows machine now with the same results. Everything works, it also rejects the connections and only pacsonesrv.exe is running while I can't get pacsone.exe to run.

Thanks for your help.

If you don't see PacsOne.exe from the process list in the Task Manager, then your trial license is either missing or has expired.

Check if you have the trial license (license.dat under the directory where PacsOne is installed) present. If so, you can send it to mailto:pacsone@pacsone.net and we will check it out for you.

I am having the same problem with PacsOne not generating logfiles. Pacsonesrv is running in my task manager but transfers are being rejected also.

This means your trial license is either missing or invalid. If it's still present, you can send it to mailto:pacsone@pacsone.net and we will check it out for you.

We are incapable to find the pacsone assistance running with Redhat several. 0 ES (On thirty-two Bit X86) This deploy script operates excellent as well as the DB obtains filled nevertheless the assistance will never start out. Any thoughts? Can i run the actual pacsone assistance with verbose/debug mode?

Did you check the Linux SYSLOG (/var/log/messages) and see if PacsOne had logged any error during startup?
