Importing DICOM images from local folder (user perspective)

Post by twellma » Thu Jan 15, 2009 10:22 am

Hello,

is it possible to import as a user (with import permissions) DICOM images from any local folder (folders that are not on the system running PACSOne)? (I want to upload a folder with several hundred images, not just a single one)

Thanks and best regards!

Currently, it's only possible to upload one local image at a time via a web browser to a remote PacsOne Server.

If you want to import a large number of images, the best way is to copy/move all the raw Dicom images into a local folder on the server where PacsOne is installed, then have PacsOne Server import from that local folder. This may be done automatically through the use of a FTP server, and having PacsOne automatically scan the upload folder of the FTP server where the Dicom images will be uploaded into.
