WADO Request downloading DICOM image to wado.php

I am working with a trial version of PacsOne and I am trying to get a WADO request to work. I think I have everything formatted correctly, but when I submit the request, my browser begins to download a 20MB file named wado.php. The browser doesn't display it and when I open it with a text editor, it is not PHP code, but I definitely see bits of DICOM information. I think it is just downloading the DICOM image to wado.php.

I think I am very close to getting this working, can anyone offer any suggestions? Here is the URL I am using with server, user, and password left out"

Code: Select all

http://<server>/pacsone/wado.php?requestType=WADO&seriesUID=1.3.12.2.1107.5.4.5.35307.30000012101104323103100000049&objectUID=1.3.12.2.1107.5.4.5.35307.30000012101018342867100000537.512&contentType=application%2Fdicom&username=<user>&password=<password>
I certainly appreciate any assistance you can offer.

Looks like your browser does not understand how to process the HTTP Content Type of application/dicom, which seems weird because WADO requires the client app to handle this content type properly (raw Dicom images). So it seems that you either may be using a web-based viewer that does not support WADO, or you are just running the generic web browser which does not understand how to process the application/dicom content type required by WADO.

Thank you very much for your quick response. I have tried with both IE7 and the latest version of Google Chrome. Is there something else that could be set incorrectly?

You need an application that understand WADO, e.g., a web-based Dicom image viewer such as the Weasis viewer, etc, but not the generic web browser such as MSIE, Firefox, or Google, which knows nothing about the application/dicom content type and therefore won't be able to display the Dicom images.

The Warning message suggests the automatic aging failed to move the images from the short-term to the long-term archive directory, so can you check if you see any files or folders created under the long-term archive directory ("//192.168.13.26/Public/")? Also, make sure that shared-network path is accessible (Read and Write) to the user account that PacsOne Server service is running as, because otherwise PacsOne will not be able to move any files into that long-term archive directory.
