Changing archive after date

Post by Dusty7 » Fri Oct 26, 2012 8:11 pm

Using Pacsone 6.2.3 on Windows 2003, on the configuration page I changed the automatic aging of images to 180 days rather than 90 days but it made no difference. The change was saved and the server restarted before the day the aging process ran but the change was ignored. Now I have disabled it. Did I miss something? Seemed simple enough.

Thanks

The Automatic Aging setting from the Configuration page is for PacsOne Server to move aged images from the Default Short-Term Archive Directory to the Default Long-Term Archive Directory defined on the same page. So are the Dicom studies you want to move stored under the Default Short-Term Archive Directory?

Yes, I verified the directories definitions. The files are still being moved from the defined Default Short-Term Archive Directory to the Default Long-Term Archive directory every Friday as previously scheduled, even though I disabled the automatic aging . I need to disable the movement of the files because though there is a substantial amount of room in the Short-Term Archive Directory, the Long-Term directory is running to short for comfort. This is just a short term measure until another/different Long-Term Archive storage area can be obtained.

If you have disabled the Automatic Aging scheduled in the Configuration page, then PacsOne Server should no longer run the automatic aging on the scheduled date, to move image files from the Default Short-term Archive Directory to the Default Long-term Archive Directory.
