I have a system which had a Windows OS system file corruption failure, I have been able to restore this system using windows xp in-place repair install.
I have all of my images in the normal location on the hard drive, I even have the original MYSQL database files in the normal location under wamp's directories system.
What I need to know, is what is the process I need to go about restoring a working PacsOne server, with WAMP 2.0a.
My hardware has all remained the same, it appears I just need the software restored as far as Windows XP is concerned. All database files and images are in the same directory as before already. Can anyone help me restore PacsOne with fully operational image database, without having to import using PacsOnes import function?
Help Restoring a PacsOne Server
If you have restored the MySQL data and program files, all the raw Dicom images, as well as the program files for PacsOne Server (e.g., "PacsOne.exe", etc), then you should be all set as all you need to do is to start up WAMP and PacsOne Server services, assuming you have restored the Windows application data as well.
Thats the thing.
The MYSQL data is there, but as far as Windows XP and the add/remove control panel is concerned, no WAMP, PACSONE (services), or any other applications are installed.
What do I need to do to restore the database in MYSQL, then restore the PacsOne services so that I can access the images from PacsOne as before?
Do i re-install WAMP and PacsOne? or can I just run the setup.exe file from PacsOne folder? if so then How do I get the database back into MYSQL to access it?

It seems that your Windows program files were not restored, at least not the application data. So check your backup media and make sure they are NOT just merely backup for Windows itself, but also all windows applications installed on this server.MBIXray wrote: The MYSQL data is there, but as far as Windows XP and the add/remove control panel is concerned, no WAMP, PACSONE (services), or any other applications are installed.
On the other hand, if your backup only contains Windows but no application data, you'd need to re-install WAMP, PacsOne Server and/or any other Windows application again. Be sure to install the same version of application software before the Windows crash, e.g., MySQL, PacsOne Server, etc, because different versions of the software may not work with restored application data you restored from backup.
