PACSONE "CLOUD"

We have 3 sites linked by ADSL with only about 1.5MBPS uplink bandwidth.

We are hoping to synch all 3 PACSONE servers across the WAN, but synch seems very unreliable across the WAN. We get failures of synch even t hough we only synch after hours and only the last 1 day's work.

Any suggestions of how we may do this more reliably? Is it better to autoforward or synch ?

Thanks

The max 1.5 Mbps network link bandwidth seems too little if you want to sync all 3 sites at the same time via the same link, so you should either increase the network link bandwidth (e.g., to T3 or 45 Mbps), or change the sync schedule for these 3 sites so that they do NOT occur at the same time, e.g., like spreading the sync at each of those 3 sites to occur at different hours.

In any case, if you have a lot of studies to be synced at any of those 3 sites, the 1.5 mbps network link bandwidth limit may still be your bottleneck, as the Dicom protocol is designed for the LAN environment and it's not known for efficient use of network bandwidth. If this is the case, you may ultimately need to increase the network link speed in order to accommodate the large amount of data to be synced.
