Import question
When using the import from a removable device to a destination archive directory, is it moving the images, or does it make a copy of them on the destination directory? I am using a network drive on Fedora Core 10 and importing from there, but want to make sure it will not move the files as we want to keep them there as well. Also, how long can I expect this to take? The folder I am importing from is approximately 160 GB and it has been running now for 2 days and it still says 0% and it doesn't look like Pacsone is using a lot of CPU. Also, from what I've gathered from other posts, it should work on any directory structure, but I want to double check to make sure. I am telling it to pull from a directory where the structure is /root/Patient_Name/Studydate/Series/1234.dcm, where I have the import command looking in the root folder. Will it still import everything in the root directory, parsing through all those subfolders?
1. If you use the Import from removable media option, PacsOne Server will copy imported raw Dicom images from the Import source folder to the user-specified destination folder. The content of the Import source folder is not modified as PacsOne Server does not move any files under the Import source folder during the Import.
2. Yes, PacsOne Server will scan recursively for any Dicom Part-10 formatted raw Dicom images under the Import source folder, as well as all of its sub-folders.
