When we import a patient form another hospital and enter the data in our own PACS we need to modify the patient ID (and the accession number). This works quite simply. However, when the patient is then exported to another DICOM peer it is stored under the original Patient ID! It appears that the modification is in the database only, not in the DICOM header. Is there a way to make the modification a real one and not just shallow?

Change patient ID is shallow, not deep

1. Version PacsOne Server: 6.3.4
2. In the screen listing the patients: click on Patient ID
- The screen mentioning "There are xxx accessible studies for Patient: John Doe" Click on the underlined name
- A screen appears listing Origid; Lastname; Firstname etc etc. Click on the ID under Origid
- A screen appears "Modify Patient ID for Patient: John Doe"
Modify the ID and press Modify

This is the correct way to modify the Patient ID of an existing patient record.
What will happen after you click on the <Modify> button is that PacsOne will schedule a job to modify the Dicom header of all the raw Dicom images that belong to this patient. So can you click on the Job Status link from the Main Menu bar and check the status of that Resolve job for modifying the Patient ID and see if it's Successful or Failed?
