Hi,
I am new to this forum and unsure if the capability is built in.
I have a computer A on my local network that sits in a different room and would like to directly import from it's disk drive. I am running PacsOne on the computer B in the back so the only way I can get to it from A is by running RDP currently, but even by several tries of mapping computer A's disk drive, PacsOne will not recognize the drive through RDP for a successful import. The only way I can get a disk to upload is to run in the back where computer B is and use its physical drive.
I inherited this system and know only basics about its functionality, but since Remote desktop is used so frequently, this seems like it would be the easiest way for us to use the system.
Importing from another computer's disk drive.
Re: Importing from another computer's disk drive.
You can certainly import from a shared network folder but you need to make sure you use the Windows UNC format (e.g., "\\ComputerA\RemotePath\, etc) instead of the mapped drive letter directly (such as "Z:\" etc), and you also need to make sure to explicitly grant Full permissions from this remote host (Computer A in your case) to the user accounts of both Apache and PacsOne Server services running on the local host (Computer B in your case), so that both services can access (read/wrtie/create files) the raw Dicom image files stored on that shared network folder.
