I have an enterprise architecture that involves sending images acquired at remote clinics to a central image archive. Is it possible to add the ability to set up AE Title routing to automatically forward images to a specific AE based on a criteria such as Modality or Body Part and possibly add the ability to schedule image transfers to off-peak hours?
Thanks for the great software!
Forwarding Rules
In the next release (coming soon), there is a new automatic routing table where you can define routing entries based on: source AE title, destination AE title and a priority.
When an image is received and stored, PacsOne will lookup the routing table to see if there's any match(es) with the source AE title, if so, the image will be forwarded to the destination AE(s) based on the specified priority.
It may be possible to add a new limiting criteria such as the Modality of image when forwarding images to destination AE(s), it's also possible to schedule the automatic forwarding by adding a scheduled time in the routing table. But these additional features probably won't make it in the next release.
There's also a catch, though. Since the next release offers a lot more features than the current one, it will no longer be free like the current version, but you have a 90-day trial period to test-drive it before deciding whether to buy it or not.
