Hello all,

anybody sucessfully installed pacsone premium installed on linux, please help me out here.

what type of linux to use (fedora, redhat, suse, centos etc ) and the version can be used...

apache version... (2.0.49 or else)

also the version mysql server and php combination will be really great.

any additional libraries like jasper versions

The Linux version of PacsOne Server Premium Edition has been tested on Fedora Core 3 and SuSe Linux 9.1, it should work with any Linux distribution with kernel version 2.6 or higher.

The PacsOne Server Installation Guide:

contains detailed installation steps that need to be followed.

Generally, you should download and install the latest production release of Apache 2.0.x, MySQL 4.1.x and PHP 5.x, but there's one exception:

If you want to use PHP 5.x instead of PHP 4.x, you'll need to install PHP 5.0.2 instead of the latest 5.0.3. This is due to the fact that the current ImageMagick PHP extension was built with the last Zend API version, which has been changed in the latest PHP 5.0.3 release. So until the next release of PacsOne Server Premium Edition becomes available, you'll need to use PHP 5.0.2 instead of the latest 5.0.3.

The ImageMagick loads correctly, but i still have problems in the
login, anti-spam codes are not shows up.

I have Fedore Core 3, Apache/2.0.52 (Unix) mod_perl/1.99_13

One other thing to check is whether the user account Apache is running as (default is nobody) has Write access to the temporary directory for the dynamic anti-spam JPG file. The temporary directory is read from the environment variable TEMP which by default should be /tmp on most Linux systems.

At the end of the HTML output of the test page Hello.php, there should be a print out of all of the environment variables. Check the value of:

_ENV["TEMP"]

and make sure that directory is Writable by the Apache user account.

My bad, the TEMP environment variable only applies to Windows.

For Linux, the tempnam() PHP function called from the login.php scriot will return /tmp by default, if the TEMP environment variable does not exist or points to an invalid directory. So you should check whether the Apache user account can write to the /tmp directory on your server.
