I am wondering if I install pacsone basic edition on XPPro/SP2, do I need a statisIP to operate pacsoneServ and permit my client connecting and logging in via WAN?
If I wanna use dynIP combined with a legal domainname (www.mydomain.com) which is mapped thru' www.zoneedit.com, it will work well?
thanks for helping

is staticIP necessary for pacsone server?
This is really a question for your ISP or web hosting service provider, since PacsOne only listens to a particular TCP port on a given server, so it does not care whether you use a static or dynamic IP address.
Your ISP/web hosting vendor is responsible for mapping a domain name, e.g., www.yourdomain.com, into either a static IP or a range of dynamic IP addresses that you control at your router you use to interface with the WAN.
