HIPAA and tracking user actions

Post by pisces5000 » Tue Jul 26, 2005 5:13 am

With Hipaa and having to track what users do, I was wondering if the following would be possible:

Is there a way to track the users using pacsone - seeing what they view, and actions, this would be done by the userid.

Another nice feature would be some sort of description field for the users. Location, Department, etc... This would be a nice feature for a good size organization or a multiple office location.

It's very easy to add a description field for registered users.

For the tracking feature, we'll start looking at creating a system journal on the following user activities:

1. Viewing
2. Modifying
3. Deleting
4. Importing
5. Exporting
6. Downloading
7. Printing

and provide a user interface for the Administrator (root) to view and analyze such information.

This feature is now available in the latest release (version 3.1.5) of PacsOne Server Premium Edition.
