Sending RT Structure Sets to Pacsone

Post by bbennett » Wed Jun 14, 2006 7:54 pm

We are evalating Pacsone for use as a RADOC (Radiation Oncology)
PACS.

We have sent one RT Structure Set successfully to Pacsone, but others
seem to be failing.

The message we see in the log is the following:
Error <71>: Exception encountered in IoComplete Callback

We are sending from JDICOM. These Structure Sets are acceptable to
other DICOM AE's

One observable difference between the Structure Set which was accepted
and the others is that in the accepted structure set the following elements
(all of VR SQ) were encoded with an explicit length:

(3006,0002)
(3006,0010)
(3006,0020)
(3006,0080)

In this RTSTRUCT, if you display the instance (ignoring he stop sign),
then these elements are displayed as "unknown", and the contents of
the sequence are dumped in an unparsed format in the "value" field.
This indicates that Pacsone is unaware of these elements VR, and made
no attempt to parse the sequence.

In the unaccepted images, these fields (which all have a VR of SQ)
are encoded with indefinite length ("start item", "end item" and "end
sequence" tags delimit the items in the sequence).

Could this be the problem?

We can trouble shoot this issue further if you could provide the following information:

1. Which version of PacsOne Server are you using?

2. Is it possible to send us a sample of the images that failed to be received by PacsOne? (You can anonymize the patient information if you are converned about privacy) If so, please send it in a zip file to mailto:pacsone@pacsone.net.

Thanks.

The version number is 4.0.1

I also sent you a zip file with the image via separate post (reply to notification message).

Thanks,
