Pacs One setup with MySQL on Vista

Post by lmusbach » Thu May 22, 2008 7:55 pm

Multiple times I have attempted to use the setup for Pacs One server to establish connectivty to the MySQL db. Each time I receive the following error:
MySQL Error: Client does not support authentication protocol requested by server; consider upgrading MySQL client.

I have installed MySQL 5.0 and am using Vista Home edition.

The Basic Edition of PacsOne Server only supports MySQL version 4.0.26 or earlier releases, so you will need to either install the Premium Edition of PacsOne Server instead, or downgrade MySQL to version 4.0.26 or earlier releases.

You should be able to find it from some website that host older archives of MySQL releases, or try Googling the web for older MySQL releases.
