Prepend scanned form to study??

Post by statichead2k » Mon Jul 28, 2008 6:14 pm

Is it possible to append a scanned sheet to a study that has been sent to pacsone from a modality before manually routing the study to the read stations?

Thanks
Matt

Yes, if you could scan the document as a Dicom image and save the image as part of the same study, before sending them over to PacsOne Server.

It sounds as though the document would need to be attached at the modality or some other point before it reaches the pacsone server.

I was hoping that the CT scanner could send the study over to the sever and then scan in a demographics page with something like pacsgear and attach it to the study at the server console.

Thanks,
Matt

In what format will the scanner document be stored? If it's stored in Dicom Part-10 format, you can simply send, import, or even upload it to PacsOne via the web browser. If it's stored in MS Word, PDF or even plain text, you can attach it as notes to the Dicom study stored in the PacsOne Server database.

How do you scan it as a dicom image?

Some Dicom scanners support converting the scanned documents into Dicom images, e.g.,
