Changing Sending User

Post by firedrow » Fri Feb 06, 2009 5:48 pm

My main user for our MySQL server is root, so I log into PacsOne as root. But during the PacsOne Install it wouldn't let me use root, so I made a PacsOne user during the install. Now when I Auto-Route images they send as PacsOne, not root. How can I change this?

You should use a dedicated non-root MySQL username for PacsOne Server, as the MySQL root username is reserved for the System Administrator and should not be used as client (such as PacsOne) username to connect to MySQL.

1, What do you want to change the dedicated MySQL username for PacsOne Server?

2. If you must change it, you can do so by running the Setup.exe program under the directory where PacsOne is installed, specify the same AE Title, TCP port and database name, but enter the new MySQL username/password (non-root) that you want to dedicate for PacsOne Server.

3. Keep in mind that this dedicated username should not be shared as a web user for accessing the PacsOne Server database.
