.zip files in /tmp

Post by glong » Thu Jun 25, 2009 2:15 pm

Running Pacsone-5.1.4 on Centos 5.3 2.6.18-128.1.6.el5 #1 SMP Wed Apr 1 09:10:25 EDT 2009 x86_64 x86_64 x86_64 GNU/Linux

A couple of weeks ago my /tmp directory filled up and caused PacsOne to become unresponsive. After looking in /tmp I found a lot of PacsOne?????.zip files(where the question marks stand for different numbers such as PacsOnev8RVCL.zip) I have not been able to determine why these files are getting in /tmp. My server has been running very well since January. I deleted the files restarted the server and all has worked well for a few weeks. This morning I noticed the size of /tmp has changed and upon inspection I found another .zip file. I have looked through the logs and cannot find any references to the file or /tmp. Any ideas?

Thanks alot!

These are the temporary zip files created for the user-downloaded patients/studies/series/images. They should have been deleted after the user download, so if they still remain in the temporary folder, check the security permission settings of these files and make sure the user account the Apache2 web server daemon process is running as has sufficient permissions to delete these zip files. Or check the umask setting and make sure the owner of these zip files can delete them.
